Peppermint Cooling Spray DIY

I hope everyone has had a great memorial day weekend! Summer is on its way and while I am looking forward to its arrival, I don’t typically love the heat or sweating….I mean glowing…as ladies don’t actually sweat. We glow. Guys sweat…gross. Anyway, a great way to beat the heat this summer is to make yourself a bottle of peppermint cooling spray!

Just get yourself a glass spray bottle with a tablespoon of witch hazel and fill with water and about 10 drops or so of peppermint and voila! Spray as needed for relief from the spring/summer heat! I plan to make and use this all summer.

I LOVE using peppermint essential oil to help cool me down on a hot day. I’ll put a drop in my shampoo on occasion as its so cool and refreshing on my scalp.

Peppermint Cooling Spray

4 oz glass spray bottle

1 Tablespoon Witch Hazel

Distilled Water

10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil – Young Living is the kind I like best. I used the Now brand before and it doesn’t even compare!

10 Lavender Essential Oil (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a glass spray bottle and use as needed. Remember to keep it away from your eyes! Peppermint can be quite strong.
